Unconscious

The Green Parlour

Music: Péter Kunert, Nina Simone
Costumes: Andrea Földi
Sets: Éva Duda
Consultant: Petra Máriás
Lighting: Ferenc Stadler
Choreographer: Éva Duda

The Green Parlour leads us to an exaggerated, distorted, grotesque and self-alienated landscape, where our carefully kept and protected desires stare back at us from the mirror. In this performance made up of short story-garlands the series of contemporary rituals is framed by melodies evoking the flair of the beginning of the century. The stage is filled with the mixture of desires and fear, suppressed emotions and relentlessly haunting fantasies.

Nothing and never

Stage designer: Zsuzsa Molnár
Lighting: Ferenc Stadler
Choreographer: Tamás Juronics

The unconscious is the invisible part of the "iceberg", which remains hidden underneath the "water", and keeps working unceasingly. It is driven by the principle of pleasure - it does not know of time or space. I do not know it, either. But often I am aware of it. It is even more aware of me. It controls me - whether I want or not. It is impenetrable.

Two choreographers, Éva Duda and Tamás Juronics are looking at that "something" which governs humans from the depths, pushes them in some direction which might be changed should we be able to find it. That us, if we find the code leading to it, not the unconscious itself. Like finding a key - the key of solution.
